Walk for recovery

We had a beautiful day and rewarding, fun-filled morning as we came together to “Walk for Recovery” in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. We have received an overwhelming response from the community in making our inaugural walkathon a huge success. A heartfelt thank you to all our corporate sponsors, volunteers, family and friends who have been so supportive of our organization and its mission.

Proceeds of this event will fund the Equine Therapy Treatment of six patients suffering with anorexia at Trinity Horse Farm and will aid in the general mission of EDAO. This experimental treatment will begin in August and last for eight weeks. Thank you to Kelly Clapper, MA, LPCC-S who has partnered with Trinity Horse Farm to provide Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) for these anorexic patients.

We are fighting a disorder that holds no bias. Eating disorders are among the top four leading causes of burden of disease in terms of
life lost. The disorder continues to grow in reach. Resources and
treatment options continue to dwindle. It is our objective and mission to bring those resources back to life and within reach of those who need them. With an aggressive mission ahead of us, with your help and the support of our community, we can make a difference. Thank you for joining in this fight.
